Hitchhikers have their own talk group

From: Amanda Arkebauer (samanark@yahoo.com) | Date: 2003-03-30 21:59:38 UTC
Yes, I do find hitchhikers just about every other box I find!! You
can ask anyone who goes letterboxing with me.

I post the information on the letterbox_travellers talk group so we
don't have to tie up this board with the travels of all those pesky
hitchhikers. I also try to e-mail the creator of the hitchhiker
directly! AGAIN, this is so I do not tie up this board with a bunch
of hitchhiker talk that is only interesting to the person who created
the hitchhiker and myself. (And maybe one or two other folks who have
also stamped into a particular hitchhiker and wonder what happened to
it when they passed it on)

Most of you already know what my stance is on the Hitchhiker
issue ...They are kind of like hickeys! You might enjoy getting one,
but then you are walking around with it, just hoping to get rid of
it!!!

Hi
Here is an idea
Stamp into the H.H. , and stamp it into your log book, but , leave it
there for the next person to find. They might be delighted to find one,
you do not have that pesty job of finding another place to recieve it..
and two people are happy. It is a nice feeling to leave one behind,
Bluebird and I have done that , at first it is hard to not grab it ,
but the pleasure of finding it and then knowing someone else will also
have that fun--sort of makes for a nice day .Plus you don't have to
carry it out or the forest. :-)

You are kidding (?) right (?)
I believe that hickeys should be considered exchanges. They are more
like virtual letterboxes=created out of thin air!!

Funny! I love your definition. Maybe the person who ask this
question is an electrician, and he is thinking of the other
definition.
